We all face different types of storms at some point in our lives or the greater part of our lives… if I have a witness.
It is not easy, but in my case, I do try and calm myself down after the anxiety, tears, and what have you. Yes, you are allowed; as human, as you are to show emotions, just don’t stay there.
I pick a scripture from the word of God, his promise to me in his word, and pray it, confess it, remind him of it, declare it and meditate on it. Isaiah 55:11 NKJV God said… So shall my word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
So if he has promised me protection, he can’t go back on his word.
I sing songs of praises and worship to him, even if I can only hum the song I do that. It brings down his presence… creates the presence of God around me, and quiets the storm. I feel this inner peace and then I know it shall be well. Sometimes I get a word that settles in my spirit, it can also be a clear direction or a dream or a particular scripture and for me, that’s how I know he has spoken.
